How does light therapy work?
Different wavelengths of light trigger specific biological and cellular reactions.
Light is absorbed by living tissues increasing the level of ATP (adenosine triphosphate), which improves cell metabolism.
Therefore the polarized light emitted by BIOPTRON treats a wide range of medical and cosmetic applications, by stimulating blood circulation and tissue regeneration, while also reducing inflammation and often pain.
It is UV free, has no known side effects and is completely painless.
Treatment Times?
Treatment times are generally between 4-15 minutes
depending on what is being treated.
With treatments like pain relief you may feel relief instantly whilst other treatments like wound healing are more progressive and can be over a few weeks.
We were super privileged to help treat these severe 2nd degree burns in July 2017 with our Bioptron Light (light therapy) and the results are indescribable!

I thought the Bioptron was amazing!
I couldn't stand straight for weeks and could barely get around, until I had the bioptron light therapy, after the first session I felt instant relief for a few hours and on the second day after my 2nd treatment my pain was pretty much gone and continued to improve over the week. We trialled the light therapy on my son's eczema, and although our results are slightly inconclusive due to diet changes etc to try and minimise the outbreaks, we did notice a huge improvement within a few days on the wounds he had behind his knees that were raw and oozing. Both cleared up without scarring or the use of steriod creams. From my son's perspective it was also really great because there are no side effects from the bioptron light such as the stinging from the creams. We also hire out handheld units at $50 a week, or $75 including the colour therapy lights.
