First Time? Here's what you need to know...

We understand that starting Laser Hair Removal can be a big step, and we’re here to
ensureyour experience is as smooth and comfortable as possible.
Here’s what you need to know to prepare for your first session.

Before Your Appointment

Avoid Sun Exposure: Limit sun exposure and avoid tanning for at least two weeks before your treatment. Sunburned or tanned skin increases the risk of side effects.

Shaving: Shave the treatment area before your appointment. This ensures the laser focuses on the hair follicles beneath the skin.

Skip Certain Skin Care Products: Discontinue using products that increase skin sensitivity, such as retinoids or alpha hydroxy acids, a few days before your appointment.

Arrival Early: To ensure a smooth experience, please arrive 10 minutes before your appointment to complete any necessary forms.

After Your Appointment

Protect Your Skin from Sun: Your skin may be more sensitive after treatment. Use sunscreen and avoid direct sun exposure.

Follow Post-Treatment Instructions: Avoid hot baths, saunas, and vigorous exercise for up to 48 hours post-treatment. Keep the area clean and moisturised as recommended.

Avoid Waxing or Plucking: Stick to shaving between sessions, as waxing or plucking can interfere with the laser’s effectiveness.

Stay Hydrated and Moisturised: Drink plenty of water and apply a gentle moisturiser to soothe any temporary redness or irritation.

Be Patient: Full results may take time, so be patient and stick to your scheduled sessions for the best outcome.

Frequently Asked Questions about Laser Hair Removal

If you need further guidance, don’t hesitate to contact us.

How does Laser Hair Removal work?
Laser hair removal works by emitting concentrated light that targets the pigment in hair follicles, heating and damaging them to reduce hair growth over time. This process leads to finer, lighter hair and smoother skin with each session.

Is Laser Hair Removal permanent?
Laser Hair Removal is a long-term hair reduction method, but ongoing treatments may be needed to maintain results.

What are the benefits of Laser Hair Removal?
Benefits include finer, thinner hair, reduced hair growth, and fewer ingrown hairs and follicle infections.

How many sessions will I need?
The number of sessions required varies from client to client. Typically, 8-12 sessions are recommended, followed by maintenance sessions.

Does the treatment hurt?
Laser Hair Removal is generally less painful than waxing. You may feel warmth or a snapping sensation, like a rubber band flicking at the skin, but discomfort is minimised thanks to our advanced diode cooling technology.

Can Laser Hair Removal treat all hair colours and skin types?
Laser Hair Removal is unsuitable for white, grey, red, or light blonde hair due to a lack of pigment. Waxing or sugaring is a great alternative for these hair colours.

Do I need to shave before my treatments?
Yes, you do. Please shave the treatment area either the night before or the day of your appointment. If you forget, let our front desk staff know upon arrival. We offer razors for $5 if needed, but please note that our therapists may not have time to shave the area during your appointment.

Is Laser Hair Removal suitable for teenagers or individuals under 18?
Younger clients may also need more sessions to achieve desired results. We generally recommend waiting until after puberty for Laser Hair Removal, as hormonal changes during teenage years can affect hair growth patterns.
